Ultraviolet radiation adversely affects hormonal balance in postmenopausal women
Postmenopausal women with exposure to ultraviolet radiation appear to have lower oestrogen and higher gonadotropin levels, an imbalance associated with osteoporosis, lung function decline, and other adverse health effects, a study has found.
