Neuropati perifer (NP) adalah kondisi klinis kronik, di mana sistem saraf perifer mengalami kerusakan dengan gejala secara umum adalah rasa kebas, kesemutan, rasa seperti ditusuk-tusuk, dan sensasi panas/terbakar, yang pada umumnya terasa pada bagian tangan dan kaki. Pasien juga bisa mengalami penurunan aktivitas fisik dan gangguan tidur yang berdampak terhadap kualitas hidupnya.

Selain prevalensinya cukup tinggi, diagnosis dan penanganan neuropati perifer juga masih menjadi kendala, sehingga diperlukan perhatian secara terus-menerus melalui edukasi baik kepada tenaga kesehatan dan masyarakat umum mengenai neuropati perifer ini. Untuk itu, IDI Kota Yogyakarta bekerja sama dengan P&G Health, mengadakan workshop “Diagnosis & Management of Neuropathy in Primary Care Setting: Make It Simple” pada tanggal 26 Mei, 30 Mei, 2 Juni, dan 6 Juni 2022 yang menghadirkan para ahli sebagai pembicara: Dr. dr.
