Di masa pandemi ini, mendiagnosis influenza menjadi lebih sulit karena gejala yang tumpang tindih dengan COVID-19. Walaupun manifestasi gejala influenza pada umumnya ringan, namun komplikasi seperti pneumonia berat juga dapat terjadi. Bahkan, koinfeksi virus influenza dan SARS-CoV-2 cukup banyak dilaporkan.
