Statins not tied to dementia in older people
Use of statins in older adults (aged ≥65 years old) is not associated with increased risk of cognitive decline, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), or dementia, regardless of whether lipophilic or hydrophilic statin was used, according to a post hoc analysis of the ASPREE* trial.
