Tăng sinh lành tính tuyến tiền liệt (BPH)
Bệnh tăng sinh lành tính của cơ trơn và tế bào biểu mô trong vùng chuyển tiếp của tuyến tiền liệt.¹
Bệnh tiến triển và có khả năng trở nên nặng hơn nếu không được điều trị hoặc điều trị dưới mức tối ưu.^2,3

Thuốc ức chế men 5α-reductase (5-ARI)
Thúc đẩy quá trình chết theo chương trình (apoptosis) của tế bào biểu mô tuyến tiền liệt dẫn đến giảm kích thước tuyến, giảm nồng độ PSA (rõ rệt sau 6-12 tháng điều trị).
Dutasteride làm giảm khoảng 95% nồng độ dihydrotestosterone trong huyết thanh.¹

Thuốc chẹn thụ thể α (AB)
Ức chế tác dụng của nor-adrenaline nội sinh trên tế bào cơ trơn của tuyến tiền liệt do đó làm giảm trương lực tuyến tiền liệt và giảm tắc nghẽn đường tiểu dưới.¹

Khởi trị sớm phối hợp ức chế men 5α-reductase và chẹn thụ thể α
Bắt đầu dùng thuốc điều trị trong vòng 6 tháng từ lúc BN được chẩn đoán LUTS từ trung bình đến nặng có nguy cơ cao bệnh tiến triển (đúng chỉ định của trị liệu phối hợp).

Các Hướng dẫn Điều trị bệnh BPH được phát triển dựa trên dữ liệu mạnh của những nghiên cứu lâm sàng lớn, nhưng vẫn là dữ liệu của điều trị tác động lên từng đặc điểm bệnh riêng biệt.^{4–11, 13-15}

Trong bệnh Tăng sinh Lành tính Tuyến tiền liệt (BPH), mỗi bệnh nhân có các đặc điểm bệnh cá nhân cấu thành những kiểu hình bệnh khác nhau, việc đánh giá tiến triển xấu đi của bệnh BPH gặp nhiều khó khăn.^1-3
Chọn lựa điều trị không phù hợp với đặc điểm bệnh của từng cá thể có thể dẫn đến kết quả điều trị dưới mức tối ưu.¹² Cần một giải pháp tích hợp các đáp ứng riêng lẻ để dự đoán đáp ứng điều trị nhằm chọn lựa điều trị thích hợp nhất cho bệnh nhân BPH.
