Overview

Headache is a very common problem presenting to primary care physicians and neurologists, with almost half of adults worldwide experiencing headache and 30% of them having migraine headache.
Most headaches are diagnosed based on the history and physical exam with no imaging or laboratory examination necessary.
Consider further evaluation and/or referral to a specialist if a patient has manifestations of red flags.
