Differential Diagnosis

The signs and symptoms of CRC are nonspecific thus the differential diagnosis is broad. The differential diagnosis of CRC includes but are not limited to:

  • Colonic carcinoid tumors
  • Diverticular disease
  • Inflammatory bowel disease
  • Gastrointestinal lymphomas
  • Gastrointestinal stromal tumors
  • Metastases
