Update on the Management of Hyperlipidemia in High Risk / Very High-Risk Patients
Managing hyperlipidemia, especially in cardiovascular care, poses a widespread challenge. To address this, a symposium was initiated by Organon, set for December 9, 2023, in Jakarta, Indonesia, bringing together cardiologists and general practitioners from various Asian countries. The event featured Dr. dr. Anwar Santoso, Sp.JP(K), FIHA, FAsCC, FESC, FACC and Dr. David Quek, MBBS, FRCP, FAMM, FNHAM, FACC, FESC, FJCS, FAFPM. Dr. Anwar Santoso was the former president of the Indonesia Heart Association, while Dr. Quek is a senior cardiologist at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur and was the president of the National Heart Association of Malaysia and ASEAN Federation of Cardiology. He is also the former Secretary-General of Asian-Pacific Society of Cardiology. Guiding the discussions is dr. Ade Meidian Ambari, Sp.JP(K) from the Indonesia Heart Association. With their combined expertise, this symposium aims to share the latest updates on managing hyperlipidemia, offering valuable insights for better patient care in the Asia Pacific region.
