Doctors to network at MMA Convention after 2 years

This year’s National Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) Convention and Scientific Congress 2022 on 8–10 September is the first ever hybrid event organized by MMA. “After 2 years of the pandemic, we can expect this year to be special as almost all COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted and we can now physically meet,” Dr Muruga Raj, President-Elect, MMA, told MIMS Doctor.

The 3-day programme consists of the National MMA Convention and Scientific Congress proceedings, Fellowship Dinner, State Dinner, and Annual Banquet. A wide range of topics will be covered in the Convention and Scientific Congress programme such as fertility sparing surgery, palpitations and syncope, severe asthma, conjugate vaccines, and the role of probiotics. Various other exciting topics have also been included in the programme.

The Convention and Scientific Congress is a platform for members and even non-members to update and upgrade themselves as part of continuous professional development (CPD), share knowledge, and an opportunity to network with colleagues in the medical fraternity. Many doctors including, senior and young doctors, from throughout the country are looking forward to catching up with their friends and colleagues during the Fellowship Dinner, State Dinner, and Annual Banquet. There will also be activities for members bringing their spouse and children along.

Both members and non-members of MMA attending the National MMA Convention and Scientific Congress 2022 will gain 13 CPD points, access to 30 (physical) and close to 12 (virtual) sponsors’ exhibition booths.
