Why was MYHF Registry established?
Heart failure (HF) is a complex clinical syndrome that represents the end stage of most heart diseases. HF is also the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, consuming substantial healthcare resources, and is associated with significant socioeconomic burden. In Asia, the situation is more worrisome as HF patients often presented with multimorbidity, and were found to be the highest in number among Southeast Asians. However, comprehensive data on HF management is still lacking in Malaysia and prior research was also limited to single-centre studies.
