A recent study carried out in the Philippines has revealed that a readily available supplement consisting of ferrous gluconate, multivitamin and minerals, is able to combat iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) in women. Also known as the SANOIN study, the clinical trial was an open-label, phase IV, single arm observational study conducted at six sites in the Philippines.
