PRISM Trial: A Spectrum of Hope in Saving Lives

04 Aug 2020
Miscarriage before the 20th week of gestation is one of the prevalent unfortunate outcomes of pregnancy. Up to 20% of pregnancies can lead to miscarriage and women who went through it have a greater risk of experiencing them again. This trauma can lead to grief, guilt, emptiness, fear and loneliness.

Is there hope for these women?

One study determined that a natural micronized hormone may prime the uterus, maintain pregnancy and help prevent miscarriages in women with early pregnancy bleeding. This may offer a spectrum of hope in saving lives and putting these women’s minds at ease.
