Overview

Bronchiolitis is a disease of the lower respiratory tract characterized by acute inflammation and edema of the bronchioles, accompanied by increased mucus production.
Signs of respiratory illness which may include wheezing, retractions, oxygen desaturation, color change, nasal flaring.
Bronchiolitis is diagnosed based on patient history and presentation.
Treatment depends upon the etiology of the disease.
