Dengue has been endemic in Singapore for over 50 years.1 Singapore has been implementing vector control measures since the 1960s that have been effective at reducing dengue’s force of infection.2 With the recent COVID-19 pandemic, however, Singapore has seen a steep rise in the number of dengue cases, with 2020 having the highest annual tally of over 35,000 cases.3 There continues to be a surge in dengue cases in the country, with a total of 23,382 reported cases during the first 31 weeks of 2022.4
