Wearable sensors show potential for T1D sensing with informative parameters
Commercially available, wearable technology can improve its sensing ability of physiological signals in the management of type 1 diabetes (T1D) with additional, informative biomarkers, which can be observed noninvasively and continuously, suggests a recent study.

21 Apr 2022What are the ideal thresholds for ASTP, toe-brachial index in diabetic foot screening?
In diabetic foot screening (DFS), both absolute systolic toe pressure (ASTP) and toe-brachial index (TBI) can detect ankle-brachial pressure index (ABPI)-determined peripheral arterial disease (PAD), results of a Singapore study have shown. The optimal threshold values derived from a multiethnic Asian diabetic population are <0.7 for TBI and <95.5 mm Hg for ASTP.

19 Apr 2022Higher dietary inflammation potential linked to polycystic ovary syndrome
Women who consume foods with greater inflammation potential in high amounts are more likely to have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a study has found.
