Active Ingredient: Flucytosine
Indications: Adjunctive treatment of severe systemic fungal infection caused by susceptible strains of Candida or Cryptococcus. Treatment of chromoblastomycosis caused by susceptible fungi. Used as combination with amphotericin B for the treatment of candidiasis & cryptococcosis for synergistic effect.
Dosage & Administration: 50-150 mg/kg daily, administered q 6 hr in 4 equally divided doses.
Presentation: Cap 500 mg x 10 x 10’s.
