Tổng quan

Basic life support (BLS) is the fundamental approach to saving lives following cardiac arrest.
Cardiac arrest should be assumed if there is unresponsiveness, abnormal breathing (ie gasping) or absence of breathing; brief, generalized seizures may be the initial presentation of cardiac arrest.
Assessment should take no longer than 10 seconds.
If alone, get help or if available, send someone for help; continue to observe for breathing.
