Tổng quan

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a ubiquitous virus that are transmitted through contact with respiratory secretions across all ages with varying degrees of severity.
Cough is the most common symptom across all age groups. In infants, cyanosis or apnea can be the presenting symptom.
History and physical examination usually suffice for diagnosis.
Supportive care is the standard of care for RSV-infected patients who are otherwise healthy because there is no specific intervention for RSV infection.
