With the aging Filipino population expected to increase in the decades to come, the country faces the challenge of taking good care of the elderly. One significant disease that plagues them is dementia, a neurocognitive disorder presenting with deterioration in cognitive function beyond what is expected from biological aging. Dementia significantly interferes with activities of daily living and social autonomy.
